Well when I said broke I meant broke, lol,but I did manage to get ahold of a small sum today that I hadn't been counting on, so I will still be in cigs, which was really my only worry because I have food in the house and already made arrangements with a friend with a car to give me rides now and then if I need one,and I am keeping busy with my writing and a few days a week I just started tutoring this wonderful 9 yr old boy who needs a little help with reading but is really sweet. Also, I'm taking lots of pictures, there are some more up there.
And I always knew the first month would be rough because of deposits and needing to get household goods and that first grocery trip where I got all the wrong things lol so it's not unexpected by a long shot..I have my meds..the VA gave me a three month supply, and will have more sent via ups when they are up, so am set with that, and if there is an emergency, the VA covers that too so I just gave my landlady their number if it's ever needed, so that base is covered too.
I was just really worried more than anything else that I would run out of cigs, lolol! Because I HAD planned on getting back into the airport and buying a carton or two duty free the day I came in, but you know the old saying, if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans, lolol! That first day was an adventure in and of itself and will tell ya'll about it sometime!
Right now I'm at DeBar, my home away from home. Still no water in the afternoons, but I saw one of the owner's kids today, and am keeping my fingers crossed..I could just take a towel and my shampoo down to Willowgate and shower there, which I am going to do starting tomorrow....I just hate the idea of not being able to take a shower AT HOME, ya know?
Oh well, you can't have everything, where would ya put it? I'm in Negril, doing fine, and that's what matters, the rest of it is just small stuff, and I try not to sweat the small stuff...or I'm working on it anyway.
I didn't expect to get any funds today, and there is a good chance that I will never hear the end of it from a family member about it, but I am just keeping my fingers crossed that in the long run, it won't make a difference either way anyway. Please send good vibes my way that that is exactly what happens, lol! ;)
I tell ya though..I'm thinking of moving..if nothing else to a higher floor..I have heard from Stephanie that it does have pretty views on the higher floor, and I don't sit out front of my balcony on the ground floor because all it looks into is a courtyard with a gate, and I wouldn't mind looking out and being able to sit on a balcony and look at the stars..but that would have to be only if/when the water situation gets resolved..I would hate to have to lug buckets of water to fill the toilet tank up flights of stairs, lolol!
Anyway, got a call from Macy, good to hear from ya gal! Still waiting to hear from Orba and others! ;)
