Medi, I'm not sure but it seems they are locking off the water at some point in the afternoon to some point in the evening....we have water in our pipes the last few mornings and last few evenings, enough to do dishes and shower. Which is a great improvement over the pasta pot bath, lol!
Yeah, Jamaica is NOT a place to be with no money. But like you said, food in the fridge, lights on, the sea and quiet time to write...priceless. But remember - there's no one here that's going to give a visitor a hand-out so stay cool, stay healthy...and budget better perhaps in February?
PS: Before I got here there was a woman living on my friend's property who blew through her money...she was actually eating at the Soup Kitchen! No one at the soup kitchen will turn you away but boy...she'd been gone a couple of weeks and the talk around town about her eating there (and doing other stuff) was rampant and angry! That, and her six month stay ended uncermoniously after 3 months - which of course bummed my friend out as she lost out on rent for those last three months.
More than anything don't make headlines.
