Filling containers should now be our practice. We never know when the water will be finish. Every container and bottle is filled. Plus I bought large containers for drinking and cooking. I even refilled soda bottles for tooth brushing. Every little bit helps.
Right now water finish. Looks like they have a system, water seems to come back on around 4/5 pm and goes off around 9 am. Well the last few days. So I make sure everything that water is needed for gets done during these hours. We should all realise this is not a game, but a lifestyle, until further notice.
People seem to forget that in addition to the Beach road and Westend Road Hotels, guest houses, and winter homes there are actually communities of people living and needing/using water too to survive. Also this is not just a Negril problem but an Island wide problem.
We Bitch about not having water here if our water is down for a an hour or two, most small communities here in Negril and other places are sometimes without water for days at a time, with no resources for hiring the water truck to bring water in, if the water company even had time to ship it in, because they are too busy getting the big bucks from the resort towns. Nothing is free in this country and as usual the little man bites the dust.
