Supply to be restored for Hanover, Westmoreland customers today — NWC
Monday, January 07, 2013 | 12:26 PM
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says it has missed the anticipated restoration schedule for service to customers in sections of Hanover and Westmoreland.
Service was interrupted because of a broken 18-inch pipeline at Orange Bay in Hanover, the NWC said.
According to the NWC the company anticipated completing the repairs on Sunday, January 6. However, it was unable to meet that deadline due to the extensive work required.
The company is now assuring customers that it is “working fervently” to complete the repairs and restore water by 4:00 pm today.
Areas affected include Lucea, Green Island, Orange Bay, Logwood, March Town, Cove, Lances Bay, Esher, Cauldwell, Pell River, Kingsvale, Haughton Court, Archwell, Westland Mountain, West End, Orange Hill, Mt Airy and surrounding areas.
